Ban Anti Trans Camps

A new trend has come to the ultra far left. While Russia unveils its new nuclear arsenal & far right groups gaining momentum worldwide the Radical Feminist Movement is now going to war with the trans community. Firstly, I thought radical feminists were pro-choice as in a person’s body belongs to them and shouldn’t be regulated by law. While the term mainly refers to abortions is it not any persons right to wear whatever clothes they desire, to take hormones should they so choose? I was told trans people are “playing dress up” because they’re “afraid to be gay”

This is where it gets interesting. I was debating a self-professed radical feminist & LESBIAN who was spreading this propaganda. I asked about intersex people and was not given an answer. She then told me that trans people just have a mental illness that needs to be corrected at certain facilities. Do you see the irony of a lesbian saying that? Not only are there no existing legitimate psychological therapies to deal with “gender dysmorphia” but the idea of these trans re-education camps is exactly the same thinking that created those “Pray the Gay Away” camps, notorious for their suicide rates & total failure. The most ironic part is that 60 years ago homosexuality was in the same Psychiatric Diagnostic manual.

The activists of Stonewall would be ashamed. They united against the common threat of oppression. I didn’t think I’d see the day when lesbians would discriminate against trans individuals. If gender is a social construction then refer to people using proper pronouns. I have’t heard the other side, they definitely aren’t as vocal but anyone desiring to send people  to trans re-education camps needs to see the parallels between that and the Southern Christians who abhor homosexuality. The DSM, the diagnostics book for western psychiatry changes over time to fit the times and incorporate new information. Homosexuality and masturbation were removed, why not gender dysphoria?

What if these people gain political power? Will they ban prescription hormones and have North Korea style detention centres? They won’t, radicals never do in Canada, but in America anything goes. No Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I don’t know if any of these places even exist, but this is just ridiculous and if they do become a reality I will personally campaign to shut them down. You’ve got Neo Nazis in America that hate you, KKK, and the world’s new emerging superpower has banned it in all of Russia. In Poland the largest far-right gathering in decades took place. I see people as individuals, not as groups. I try to debate and get an argument with personal attacks. If you did that in university you’d be out the door. I believe that everyone is equal and deserves the freedom to speak, worship or dress as they please. Our bodies should not be government regulated. Meaning we can do with them as we choose.

Slow reader?

Radical lesbian feminist suggests re-education camps for trans people in the mold of Pray the Gay away camps in the Bible Belt. She calls it a mental disorder to be cured, 60 years ago they thought that about homosexuality. Things change. This campaign of anger only further divides the fragile and fragmented left. The nazi filth will gain power, or at least weird influence while former allies squabble over stupid things. PUBLIC means everyone is welcome. If you want a segregated party then rent out some space. Its what the other extremists have to do.

Sex positivity and sex work are not evil. By characterizing them like that it makes every prostitute out to be a junkie tied to a pimp with violent customers. I know a few prostitutes personally, male & female. It is also spitting on the feminists before you who used their sexuality as a weapon. Who marched for the right to bare their breasts in public. I’m lucky enough to be friends with one of the prominent ones. Out of my current and former friends thats five prostitutes, two trans individuals, two girls that protested in support of the right to take their shirts off,  and one who has been at the vanguard of the true movement since 1977. Thats 10 friends that are now. considered anathema to the Radical Feminist Movement. How many of these people actually spoke to prostitutes and escorts?

This is in no way an attack on feminism or lesbians. This is directed at those individuals that prefer segregation-esque policies and have a poor knowledge of their own history and wish to force their beliefs on others.

Taste the whip, a love not given lightly

Taste the whip, a love not given lightly

A hand offered in reconciliation

Comes back burnt and bitten.

Advice asked, advice given, never taken

Then they act in opposition.

Lydia Lunch spoke the truth when she said

You can’t save anyone from themselves.”

And we are always our own worst enemies,

Knowing every weakness, crack & tiny flaw.

Like greedy jewel peddlers we examine our lives

Through a variety of special lenses,

Pull them from their homes in the dark

Cut them to pieces, torture them until they shine bright.

Seeking any flaw, however small, to save them some coin on the buy.

I think I care more about pills than people.

Pills are there when none of your friends are.

When the so-called progressives treat ya as a lower class junkie

And as a source for their own fix.

Like bloody-nosed paradoxes that talk & talk about nothing.

We are the scum of the earth, hated for loving our god so much.

No matter the culture the non-addict looks down on the addict.

By nature it must be experienced firsthand.

Not a half g of coke on the weekends, or even every day.

I mean you wake up when you need to use,

The first thing you do is fix.

The last thing you do is fix.

You end up using just to avoid getting sick.

In the end there’s no pleasure in this.

Morpheus drags you down with that holy rush of a kiss

That leaves you slumped against bathroom walls

Gasping for air, content or dead & you don’t need to score anymore.

For your lover & master is here.

Kathleen Hanna vs Courtney Love

the insinuation that girls all too small or not tough enough to be in the front of the pit is sexist in and of itself. Some of the roughest bruises I’ve got have been from passionate punk girls in the pit. They didn’t need the singer to tell them where they could go. Its a punk show, anyone gives orders you tell em to fuck off. And come on, who marries a Beastie Boy after losing Kurt to Courtney? Courtney wrote better songs. ‘Suck my left one’ is tough and catchy in a fuck you kind of way but Asking For It? Cake? Jennifer’s Body? Violet? Pretty on the Inside? “They say I’m plump, but I throw up all the time!” Donita Sparks (L7) wasn’t perpetually pissed off so I could listen to her points without feeling like I was being preached to (Points Patti, Excene & Lydia had been making art and music since 76′ When Lydia had to turn tricks to stinking old cab drivers just to get home from a gig. Jim Carroll and Robert Mapplethorpe both sucked cocks in NYC to get by) Starlets are now raking in millions in sexual harassment suits while those who traded temporary access to their bodies for lesser things than multi million-dollar film roles, like cab rides & crack cocaine don’t see a penny and die strung out on the streets. Once again the rich & famous profit while nothing changes for the rest of the world.

Christine IX: A Profile

Italian post punk, grunge singer Christine IX just released her first solo single and accompanying video, called Black Corolla. IX, who was born in Italy but speaks fluid english, is in the midst of recording her first solo album, which has yet to be given a formal title.

The music video for Black Corolla, which was written and edited by the singer and directed by Salvatore Zillion, has a very professional look, and shows different shots of IX in surreal environments, such as a gothic style room painted white with burning candles and strange, occult items and surgery equipment laid out on a table. as well as playing the bass guitar, lying on a bed with scarlet sheets, or in a strange room, also red with IX dressed in a deep crimson coloured Victorian era style dress and small top hat. Shots switch between IX playing bass guitar, singing on a bed, or writing a letter with an old fashioned quill and ink.

The song makes use of the quiet verse, loud chorus style invented by The Pixies and popularized by Nirvana in the early 90’s Seattle grunge movement. IX’s melodic voice leads off the song, along with bass and guitar. The song’s energy slowly builds until exploding into the chorus with heavy distortion and electric guitar, IX’s voice starting out sounding like Amy Lee’s, from the band Evanescence, then switching into a harsh, punk rock style scream, sounding like a mix of Brody Dalle of the Distillers and Live Through This era Courtney Love, from the ground breaking grunge band, Hole.

Though this is Christine IX’s first solo effort, she is no stranger to music or the music industry, having formerly fronted several projects including, Nahema ( 2003 – 2007) La Starlet Maudite, Danza Di Nervi, Storie D’amore Inventato, and Nobody’s Daughter.

Aside from her past projects, Christine IX is still involved in a number of other bands. She plays guitar, sings, writes lyrics and music and co produces the albums for Shotgun Babies. She also fronts Choke on Mirrors, a grungy rock band and does a project called Lectura Dantis, in which she performs with a loop station based on the words of the Italian poet and author of The Inferno, Dante Alighieri.

With all of these projects on the go, its amazing that Christine IX has enough free time for her solo career, but not only does she sing on Black Corolla, she also plays the guitar for it, as well as playing the piano, bass guitar, harmonica and even the xylophone. It seems as though there is very little that Christine IX can’t do if she puts her mind to it. The lyrics are written by her as well. They are evocatively poetic, and they are beautiful to read in either English or Italian.

Christine IX has released ten albums to date, beginning with the EP Destroy Your Beauty, by Shotgun Babies, which came out in 2008. Her most recently released album is the full length LP, Private Games, which hit the shelves in 2014. Now she has just released the single and video for Black Corolla, which you can listen to for free on her website, christineix.it or on her Soundcloud page. The music video is free to watch available on youtube, as well as on IX’s webpage.

With her musical talent, great songwriting style and poetic lyrics, coupled with her long history as front woman, first for Nobody’s Daughter, then for Shotgun Babies and Choke on Mirrors, it seems likely that Christine IX’s solo album will make a lot of waves when it is finally released. Her style combines undeniable sex appeal, a tough attitude, an Italian upbringing and alternative grungy sort of early 90’s Hole and Nirvana style songs, but a bit more modern sounding and more melodic but with just as much hard rock and roll bite. It seems certain that Black Corolla, and Christine IX’s first solo album, and eleventh as a musician, will attract a great deal of attention when it is finally released.
